Would prefer if we didn't, and if so, do it away from where most people are.

Created new sub-boards for applications. These are 'Submit' boards, where you will post your applications. This is set up so only staff will be able to reply your application.

Finally, having random people see and reply to your stuff was getting a bit annoying.

I'd like to have it so members can make a thread, but only staff can see them.

That sounds like a good way to run it.

Map is between rp_dust_outlands steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1131881339or rp_oldworld_fix steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=731720128We used oldworld for most of the last one. Dust_outlands is a nice one, perhaps too many secret underground tunnels and vaults, but we can block those of ICCly and OOCly. It has a nice dusty atmosphere, hence the name, I guess. Aftermath, original rp_dust, and apocalypse all don't really fit the 'rural desert' vibe. They're either way to urban, with entire destroyed cities, or to gloomy, with fog and swamps. Neither of which would be in the Baja area. Oldworld and dust_Outlands fill that role nicely.

I'm sort of split between Oldworld and dust_outlands, while I believed oldworld was perfect for what we were looking for, there is the rather large downside of everyone remembering it, as such, we'll have tons of people going "wait are we back at new delta then? Wasn't there a nuke here? so that could affect things.
Additionally, I don't think a ton of underground caves could be a problem, it could just make for some interesting places to go scavenging, or make for some spooky fights in close combat in there.

My vote is oldworld.

Yo Lighty, do you think you could give us some guidelines on what we should be looking for in apps? Like mastery in skills, or specific tiers of weapons and armor we should not allow?

Uhhhhhhhh I just realized something Lighty . If we don't have scripts, how the hell do we put caps into circulation? usually we do scavenger missions and have them sell the goods from scavenging for caps.

Scripts/scripted money isn't going to be a thing OOCly. Yeah, you can hand out money for events, ICly characters would be motivated to gain wealth. It's up to players themselves to determine if they're broke, well off, or struggling.

But how do factions like CC and merchants work without caps as currency? What's to stop someone from going in and buying el mini-gun with their pretend money?

This is why the server is for whitelist only. If someone can not be trusted to not RP like a complete idiot, they will be removed.

Alright, we'll probably need to get something to tell the merchant players to know how everything is.
