Equipment
Equipment/Gear - DESCRIPTION
Kevlar-metal Weve Armor: This set is incredible, I doubt even my revolver could bust his suit, it's a powerful thing, the only way you can hurt him is if you're strong enough to throw him around, and that is a challenge, especially when he has that big cleaver of his, good thing he was distracted when I had to subdue him earlier. It comes with this helmet, It seems to be made of the same stuff, but somehow it's solid this time, maybe it has some underneath construction, like a plate helmet? I'll have to look into it if I get the chance.
Cleaver: This boy's so powerful, this cleaver, he wields it like a normal man would wield a knife, throwing it around like it was weightless, he almost hacked my nose off when we met, if he wasn't afraid... he wouldn't even have drawn the thing.. Anyway, the only way I got by it was when he rushed foreward and tried to defend Lilliana when her brother drug her away from us, she was reaching out to the poor fella', he misunderstood and tried to attack, but I was able to tackle him, saved the guy I think. Lucky for both of us, that wouldn't have gone well with everyone if we tried to bring him back... I probably would've shot him if that happened.. that would've been such a loss of a good scout.
Scout's Badge: I had a spare badge laying around, the type I would give to all the happy little scouts who came in who knew the park staff, so after everything settled down and we pitched his tent, I showed him the badge. Ha ha, the poor kid thought it was a syringe and I was gonna' poke him at first, then I showed him what it said and he got so happy, he snatched it from my hands and pinned it to his chest, well.. thought he did, he just pushed the thing into his armor and it fell down without being pinned. He almost cried when that happened, I quickly picked it up and showed him how it worked, he got so happy, he tried again, and he did it, then he kept doing it so I left him at it. Instead of poking it into the material he had to slip it inside the groupings of wire and fabric that were making his armor, considering that stuff is hard to penetrate. Hopefully the others will see this and realize he's friendly.
Teddy: Oh yeah, how could I forget? His favorite teddy bear, we opened a safe in the house he was found in, whuddya know, we found a fresh, pefectly clean teddy bear, you know what? I gave it right to the kid and he went wild, it must've been his, anyway, he loves it, he even listens to the radio with the thing. And when he goes out, he leaves it on his bedroll, having it face the door to "Keep the tent safe" man, what it would be like to be a kid again.
Relations
Special||Close Friend||Friend/Well Received||Acquaintance||Untrusted||Disliked||Hated
Scoutmaster Jacob Macob: That's me, he thinks I'm some big super hero, like a comic book or something. Likes to call me dad at times, guess he takes to me like a father figure, you know.. I appreciate the kid, he's a real sweetheart. Maybe I can be a dad and make up for that hole in his life he has right now... I feel so aweful about everything.
Family: Unfortunately.. that's what he lost.. he was raised up with a group of "raider" people, they all lived as a family, they treated him like the head of the house, even though he had such little ability to lead as he will even admit. They looked up to him because he was the big guy who never let anything get him down, even though they were sometimes smarter than him. They just wanted to make friends, maybe even start a settlement with their quest to make friends. But unfortunately, everyone just saw the raider garb and the big armored guy and they just screamed.. starting to shoot at 'um. So.. yeah, they killed them, not other choice in such a split second with such a big group. Then, when my scouts tried to take him in for questioning or arrest, they refused to surrender their precious boy... they shot at us, scared we were going to hurt him like everyone else. We killed them because they wouldn't stop... they... they just wanted their boy to be safe... I can't forgive myself for what I've done... but I need to stay strong.. for my scouts..
"Nice Lady": This woman has really gotten close to his heart. He acted like she was his mom... that's why it hurt even more when we had to leave.... I'm sorry... to everyone...
"Pretty lady" [Deceased] (Lilliana Sheng): That's the name he gave to Ranger Deputy Lilliana, she earned that promotion by how she handled the situation, she was peaceful and understanding to the kid, trying to protect him and the others, trying to be a friend to him when he was lonely. Brings a tear to my eye, the thing escalated when her brother tried to protecter her by pulling her away and trying to sacrifice himself to the suddenly triggered boy, if it wasn't for me, she would be with one less family member, although he would've died a hero.
Update: It's madness over here, as soon as that bandage guy broke the news Charles began screaming and crying all over, pounding the ground, kickin' the dirt, it's aweful, I can't even keep myself from tearing up from it. He just keeps screaming "momma, momma, momma come back!!" I can barely keep from breaking down and crying down there with 'em... but I need to be strong... for my scouts... Like I always am.
"The Pizza Man": That's the name he gave to that radio host, Alfred Canole. I knew the guy would be great with kids, he's always been good with 'um. You should see it, Charles just sits next to the radio and stares at it, not really doing much during the music, but when Alfred comes on, he claps and giggles, holding them together suddenly and just listens to every word he says, it's like watching a kid listen to santa read him a story or something, maybe that's what he thinks of him as, radio's open to everyone, so maybe that's how he found his comfort.
"Dog man!": This guy is.... interesting, he's a survivalist born and true, he got a cow from a woman and cooked it all on his campsite without help from anyone. I respect him, and he really seems to respect and look up to me, but... he seems bent on killing everyone in the town... I can't get behind that... but the horrible things they've done... some of them... I don't know what to do... Oh, great.. this isn't my thoughts.... alright.. Charles seems offput by this guy, and he looks at Charles like he's a dog or something... it's sad really.
"Scary Man": That's what he calls that guy in a trench coat... Michael I think it was. Sure he looks scary, but the guy's got a heart, heck, he didn't shoot at charles when everything happened, he was one of the first to put his gun away and not complain about it. He didn't do anything bad to the kid, so that's good.
"More Scary Man": Yeah, this is Ranger Deputy Lilliana's brother, he quickly dragged her away and shielded her when everything was happening in that house, he was all upset about holstering his gun, scared the kid half to death when he did all that, triggered him into rushing at the two, flailing his cleaver around, if I wasn't there to stop him... I don't want to imagine what would have happened to everyone.
"Fire Man": He called this guy in metal this, he had a flame thrower, so that would make sense, my heart goes out to that guy, honestly, lost his kid in some suicide bombing by that David fellow. But he started trying to coax charles into doing... unspeakable things to the scouts in town as revenge... it wasn't right, he scared the poor kid off with that talk, sent him into a crying fit before he got the news about Deputy Ranger Lilliana. I hope he gets help instead of continuing on with this madness, he'll get himself killed.
Update: Charles is broken up about that situation... him turning on us... without him attacking the nearest animal.... I can't have him tell me what he thinks... he nearly stabbed someone's cow when I mentioned "fire man" to him... he isn't happy..

Background
Poor kid, he's a man who doesn't know what is going on around him.
Him and his family of raiders went around actually trying to make friends, maybe even start a settlement. But as soon as they were seen, the people would scream and shoot, thinking they were being attacked. So they had to defend themselves, killing their attackers or "making them sleep" as he says. Poor guy was distraught that so many people had to sleep because of this stuff, he just wanted a big family. The other raiders looked up to him, because he was big, strong, and never let anything get him down, but as soon as he started to get worried about all this, they stayed at home and made sure to comfort him and keep him safe.
Then when I took a group of scouts to find out everything and bring him in for questioning, or an arrest, they fought tooth and nail to keep him safe from us, thinking we just wanted to kill him like everyone else. It was over before we could say sorry, his entire family reduced to a pile of twitching corpses and him cowering in the corner with his cleaver flailing. We were able to talk him down, and even get him to calm down, but then one scout got paranoid and grabbed his sister to try and shield her, and Charles thought she was being attacked, so he lunged at the man, if it wasn't for me, the guy would've had a cleaver in his neck. I feel bad for what I had to do to Charles, but he wouldn't have forgiven himself if he went through with what was going to happen either.
So now, I'm looking after him, it's nice to have a scout in the camp for once, all the others live in the cabins around, this guy just was happy as ever to sleep in a tent, he even helped me pitch it up.
He thinks I'm some sort of super hero, and calls me dad, you know, I'm more than happy to be a dad to him, it's the least I can do to help him.
