Lieutenants - Organizes Defense of each sector of Tacoma (North, East, South, West)
Sergeants - Organizes Mariners to fulfill Lieutenant's orders

Power
The Mariners have grown in influence and power along side the town it protects and governs, Tacoma. With a solid, continuous defense, Tacoma has grown to become more and more prosperous since it's founding in 2251, over forty years ago. They are more than capable enough to fend off any number of raiders, bandits, ghouls, or any other mutated creatures of the Northwestern forests. While not impervious to organized, skillful attacks, any offensive measure by an organized group would need to be larger in numbers and in firepower to hope to defeat the Mariners, and take over Tacoma.
Equipment
The Mariner's equipment, no matter how high or low end it is, all bears the Mariner's symbol, a compass rose. Their equipment varies depending on the title held by the person in possession of the equipment. Volunteers can be seen with the widest array of equipment, being little more than Tacoma residents who agree to take part in the defense of Tacoma should the time come. Mariners and First Class Mariners are often seen with weapons of decent quality, single shot rifles, pump shotguns, and even assault rifles. They make up the majority of the Mariner's forces, often wearing some type of reinforced leather armor. Sergeants can be seen with more specialized equipment, machine guns, sniper rifles, laser weaponry, and even explosives. They are often issued reinforced metal armor. Lieutenants are often allowed to use gear of their choosing, limited only by the amount of caps they've stored up somewhere. Most often for-go any large weapons, content with a well-maintained sidearm of sorts, and metal armor. The Lieutenant Governor is often seen with similar gear as the Lieutenants, although the position is not merely one of tactical leadership. The Lieutenant Governor has the full arsenal of The Mariner's at their disposal, including a suit of fully functional power armor. Used only a handful of times, great tales of Lieutenant Governors of days past are often told in the bar, leading the Mariners to victory in troubling times while crushing the enemy within the pneumatic fingers of the suit's hands.
The Governor, being an elected official, is often lacking in any militaristic abilities, they are not usually issued any specific equipment, as they are not expected to physically defend Tacoma.
